Friends of Walker (FOW) helps to raise money for the school by organising events, raffles and other initiatives. It is a registered charity and run by parent volunteers. New members are always welcome.
The school’s much-loved Christmas Fair and summer Walkerbout are highlights of the year for our families. FOW also organises other events throughout the year, including bake sales, movie nights and discos.
The money raised by FOW has helped our school in so many ways. Recently, it has enabled us to fund beautiful new playground equipment, a specialist music teacher and maths resources.
There are a number of ways that you can support the school:
- Attend or take part in FOW events
- Volunteer to help out at an event
- Nominate yourself to be a class rep
- Donate items for our raffles and tombolas
- Ask your employer if it has a match-funding scheme
- Order name labels via Stikins (use fundraising code 24428)
- Raise funds by shopping online via The Giving Machine
